11 March 2005: New section on Open Source!

As a class project for Writing 50E, Simon, Marc, Ilker, and I wrote a website introducing intermediate computer users to Open Source Software. It can be found here in the Miscellaneous Section.

26 Sept 2004: Updates

I've been working on updating the site for an hour or so this morning to update some content that's changed, improve the functioning of the site, and so forth. New content will come much slower, because most of the content I would write about, such as high voltage stuff and electronics, is at home, not here in my dorm. But, my goal is to have the site fully functioning by the next few days, with no dead links, something in the Site Overview section on the left, and an updated college section.

25 Sept 2004

Okay, so I really haven't updated the site at all for quite a long time, but I've been busy at work, generally lazy, and now am moved into college. I have now officially joined the swollen ranks of those who start a webpage but never finish it. So I'm at UCSB as of the 19th, things are going good, I've met cool people, I mostly know my way around now, and my classes, so far, are going all right. I'll think about doing some work on the website tomorow, we'll see how that turns out.

29 July 2004: LCD Program

While the program is still largely untested and still lacking a user interface, I decided to go ahead and put a page up on my LCD program. Enjoy!

18 July 2004: College Things

With work and getting ready for college things I haven't gotten around to getting any work done on my website. This past friday and saturday I went to UC Santa Barbara for my orientation and class registration. For more details, see the new college page I am working on

30 June 2004: A day off finally

Today is my first day off after 8 continuous days of work, which is why I haven't done any updating. Over the past few days I've been reading the Young Wizard series (rereading the first four books) by Diane Duane, which is a rather excellent series concerning the adventures of two kids who are offered a chance to join the ranks of the wizards who fight on the side of the Powers That Be to slow, maybe even stop, the entropic death of the universe. You can visit YoungWizards.com, the official website, for more information.

22 June 2004: About Section Up

Well I'm more or less finished with the About Section. It could still use a bit of work, but it's good enough for now.

18 June 2004: Still working...

I have finished most of the behind the scenes design work, and now I'm starting to write content. I plan to write the pages in this order: about, contact, links, and then project pages starting with my coil gun

17 June 2004: Work resumes on site

I am now working hard at finally making this site a reality. I'm also doing my best to write the code with cascading style sheets, so that the site will be easier to update and manage in the future. HTML & XHTML: The Complete Reference by Thomas Powell has been invaluable in this endeavor, anyone interested in web design should consider buying this book.
